The current holders welcome the Scottish Championship side to Ibrox this weekend and will hope to build on their impressive midweek display at Easter Road where they ran out 4-1 winners over Hibernian.
Speaking to the media ahead of the fixture, the midfielder says the side are targeting a return to Hampden Stadium as they look to retain the trophy: “We want to win it a lot. We are all sad about the League Cup final and now we want to focus and win this cup. It is almost like we have to win it.
“We are looking forward to the game on Sunday. We will take it game-by-game and then hopefully bring it home. It is important as a football player to win collective trophies and I have lost two cup finals. I want to make sure that we win the third one, and then win more. That is why I came here and that is the most important thing.”
The Light Blues turned in a dominant display in midweek at Easter Road, and the 22-year-old midfielder wants his side to keep their standards high for their upcoming games.
He added: “We did great away at Hibs. We played good football and we didn't panic after the goal. We just kept our composure and we got back to 1-1 quickly, and we just played our game. If we focus on ourselves and play at our tempo and level then we can beat anybody, we just need to focus on ourselves and keep our standards high to win every game.
“The manager wants to play good football, he wants to play with fast passing and good connections within the team. That is what we try to do. If we play to our level and tempo then it is going to be very good.”
