The campaign aims to celebrate our women’s team while uniting the many women and girls who support our club.
Rangers are committed to being at the forefront of the women’s game in Scotland and continue to develop a pathway for young girls to achieve their dream of becoming a professional in the game.
As part of the campaign, first-team stars Jenna Fife, Megan Bell, Bala Devi and Kirsten Reilly have been sharing their journey to full-time football.
With each of the players growing up with limited female role-models, they hope they can play their part in encouraging youngsters to get involved in football in any way and grow their love for the game.
Bala Devi made history by becoming the first Indian woman to become a professional footballer anywhere in the world and continues to inspire youngsters in her home country.
Devi said: “In 2005 I represented the Indian National Team, there were not many facilities available and people didn’t know about women’s football at all but now women’s football is quite famous worldwide.
“There are lots of girls who are following women’s football. Here at Rangers, we get all the same facilities as the men and if clubs can support this women’s football can only continue to grow.”
Charlene Shore-Henderson, Senior Marketing Manager said: “Rangers marketing ambition is to ensure we have a dual-gender approach to all activations, developing clear brand stories that convey our brand values. Recent marketing campaigns have been making strides towards increasing awareness and popularity of women’s football and developing an identity for the women’s team. We have developed the “Own It” campaign to show every women and girl, that if they are true to themselves, and work hard, then their dreams are achievable. Women’s football is for everyone and anyone, regardless of ability, age, or background.”
