Reilly: It’s A Privilege To Be Here

KIRSTEN REILLY is hoping for success with Rangers after returning to the SWPL after a spell at Bristol City.

The midfielder is returning to Scottish women’s football after a spell and Bristol City and is Gregory Vignal’s third new signing of the close season.

Reilly, who played for fellow SWPL side Hibs before moving to Bristol is looking forward to being back in Scottish women’s football.

She said: “It is a privilege to be here, especially from the outset of this new journey that Rangers Women are taking and I am really excited to get started.

“I do enjoy the Scottish game and I have won silverware in this league before so hopefully I can do it here and see all the exciting times coming Rangers’ way.

“I feel like I am a really strong player, I like a physical battle and I like to add goals to my game too, so it would be exciting to score for the new journey for Rangers.

“I like both attacking and defending aspects and I’m pretty good in the air as well.”

With a number of changes at Rangers ahead of the 2020 campaign, Reilly can’t wait to get started and meet her new teammates.

She continued: “It is really nice to be here from the start and to see what happens and to see from the outset where we go and just see us keep expanding.

“The new project is good because we are literally all in the same boat so we can start together and keep progressing.”

Looking ahead to the new campaign, and to the future at the club, Reilly is aiming to help bring silverware to Rangers.

She added: “I think anything is achievable, if we work hard in pre-season and work well as a team then I wouldn’t say that silverware is not in our reach and hopefully we can push for the title and then Champions League football.

“It feels so good when you win silverware, so to win it at a new club would be great and hopefully we can do it and just show how we are progressing.”
