Both goals came in the second-half, with Van Ommeren giving the visitors the lead before Rangers responded through Archie Stevens.
Rangers lined-up with Lewis Budinauckas in goal, behind a back four of Arran Kerr, Kristian Webster, Leyton Grant and Zander Hutton.
Paul Nsio and Blaine McClure were in midfield, with Callum Burnside taking up the advanced role in the centre of the pitch. Chris Eadie led the line for Rangers, with support from Lewis Stewart and Archie Stevens.
It was a bright start from Rangers as they dominated possession early in this match. The first chance fell for Archie Stevens, who latched onto a pass on the right-flank before getting a shot away inside the box but it hit the side netting.
Minutes later, Callum Burnside worked the goalkeeper with a powerful strike which was held by Eppink.
At the other end, Sneijder tested Lewis Budinauckas with a strong strike which looked to be heading into the back of the net but the Rangers goalkeeper did well to block the shot.
With 27 minutes played, the Light Blues had another great opportunity to open the scoring with a good move started by Paul Nsio. The midfielder played a nice ball out wide to Archie Stevens who was in space on the right, and he whipped a dangerous ball into the box with Lewis Stewart attacking but he was unable to get a clean connection to send it beyond Eppink.
Stevens had another attempt of his own shortly after as he cut in from the right to release a low shot towards goal, but it was just wide of the target.
The visitors were continuing to threaten too, with Menzo seeing a shot blocked inside the box, before a good hit from Sneijder was deflected wide by a Rangers defender.
With five minutes to go before half-time, Rangers had the ball in the net as Stevens turned well to release Lewis Stewart who sent the ball beyond the goalkeeper, but it was disallowed for offside.
Into the second-half it was the visitors who took the lead in the 50th minute. A ball came into the box, and fell for Van Ommeren in space and he hit a superb strike into the top corner, beyond Budinauckas.
It was a strong start to the half for the Dutch side, Lewis Budinauckas pulled off a fantastic block shortly after to deny Menzo as the visitors looked to double their advantage.
However, Rangers responded well and with 71 minutes played were back level. It was a fantastic solo effort from Archie Stevens as the forward again drove down the right, before cutting inside and showing great composure to guide a low shot beyond the goalkeeper.
Aidan McCallion curled a shot just wide of the target as the match approached the final 10 minutes, before Karagyris came close for the visitors at the other end with a strike across goal which was deflected out for a corner.
It was another good test for the young Gers, as the game ended 1-1.
