Reverend MacQuarrie served Rangers for over 30 years and was a well-known figure at Ibrox and the Rangers Training Centre, attending both first team and Academy matches, and providing guidance and support to both playing and non-playing staff.
In times of loss and remembrance at Ibrox, Rev. MacQuarrie would lead the Rangers family in solemn reflection.
His knowledge of the club, its history, and its traditions, allied with his compassion and empathy, came to the fore in those difficult moments the club has endured during his time in the role.
Rangers Chairman, John Bennett, said: “Myself and all the staff at Rangers are so very saddened to hear this news.
"From when I first became a director of the club, I developed a very warm relationship with Stuart, and I, like so many others before and present, greatly valued his company, his counsel and his friendship.
“Stuart will be greatly missed by all at the club, and our thoughts are with his family and his many friends at this sad and difficult time.”
