BAILEY Rice insists that the UEFA Youth League provides pivotal learning opportunities for each of the young Gers individual development.
The 16-year-old featured in David McCallum’s travelling squad on Tuesday afternoon in their clash against Liverpool at the Training Academy where he was introduced to the pitch for the second 45 as a substitute.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following the game, he outlined the importance to compete in this tournament at a young age, he said: “They’re a top team, you’re always learning from the best. I’ll take it in my stride and keep improving.
“It’s brilliant for my development, this is one of the reasons I came to this club, so that I can play in these competitions.
“You can take a lot; you’re learning from the top teams.”
