It means Rangers take a healthy advantage into the second leg in Glasgow next week, and Ridvan, who came through the youth ranks at Besiktas in the Turkish capital, says it was an extra special evening for his family.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, the 23-year-old said: "It wasn't the best game for me!
"But as I always say the most important thing is to win. I give everything for my teammates.
"My family was here and I'm sure they're happy about the result.
"I'm so happy for her as well."
It's only half-time in the tie as Ibrox gears up for the visit of Jose Mourinho's side next week.
Ridvan says he was proud of his teammates' efforts last night in a hostile environment but believes the side must stay grounded and produce a professional performance at Ibrox in six days’ time.
He added: "To be honest, I'm proud of my teammates.
"I have a lot of good memories in this [stadium]. I'm so happy to add one more, and it's a fantastic win.
"But we need to be humble as we have a second game [next week]; it was a good result in the away game.
"[The head coach] is proud of us.
"He knows everything about the club and he was a player as well.
"Ibrox is home. We should be humble and calm. We got a good result in the away game, and I hope at Ibrox we're going to get it as well."
