The forward’s strike midway through the second period proved the difference as the Light Blues showed character in abundance to turn the game on its head.
Speaking to RangersTV after the victory, a delighted Hardy beamed: “We know it’s a tough place to come, especially in midweek, and I think everyone played their part tonight and it was a squad effort.
“I think we earned the three points.
“We knew what we had to do tonight. We knew we weren’t up to it in the first five minutes ourselves, but we knew we could always come back from positions like that and I back us to do it time and again.
“Hopefully we stop going a goal down, but I always knew we would be able to pull ourselves out of it.
“You need to do that to win trophies and that’s what we’re about. Hopefully we can continue that for the rest of the season.”
Hardy’s finish was worthy of winning any game, spinning smartly in the penalty area before slamming home a convincing finish into the far corner.
She was joined on the scoresheet by fellow forward Kirsty Howat, whose exquisite strike into the top corner restored parity for the Gers.
She added: “Was my goal from a tight angle? It was, but all the hard work was done by Brogan [Hay].
“She pressed and put me in a position to score, and luckily I took my chance.
“Of course [it’s great Kirsty got on the scoresheet], and it’s an absolutely class finish from Kirsty.
“What did I feel worked tonight? We just played.
“I feel we have went long in the last two games that we’ve played and just shortening our game up, dragging them in, and finding the gaps.
“We got in a lot on the ball which helps us a lot. We got midfield players on the ball and played forward; we want the ball as forwards.”
