The Light Blues ran out 2-1 Old Firm derby winners in the Sky Sports Cup semis as they took a step closer to claiming silverware once again.
Speaking to RangersTV after opening the scoring on the day, she said: “It is a great feeling, it is something that we set out to do was to try and maintain both the cups that we won last season and we are one step closer to doing that.
“Beating Celtic? There is nothing sweeter and to get on the scoresheet again as well it is just a really good feeling and we are happy to make the final.”
After a goalless and cagey opening 45 minutes at New Douglas Park the Gers came out flying at the start of the second half, with two goals in three minutes and the forward paid tribute to her teammates for their contributions and getting over the line.
She continued: “Half time message? It was just to try and take a bit more control and take opportunities when they come.
“That was something that we really took forward and Wilko's free kick, top corner there is no keeping that out so it was just two really good moments and we are really happy with the win.”
The striker says it is now all about momentum for the team leading up to March’s final, as they now prepare for their return to league action against Spartans next weekend.
She added: “I can't wait, they are the type of games that you want to play in and it is something that we really look forward to playing in and really thrive off the energy of the cup final, so we can't wait.
“It is all about momentum, it sounds cliche but we do genuinely take every game as it comes and we just look forward to next week as well.”
