Rangers B are back in action on Tuesday morning as they get set for another exciting challenge against a side from south of the border this term.
Speaking to the official Rangers website ahead of the match, the Scotland Under-21 international commented: “I love the challenge when the player that I’m up against is top quality.
“It gives you a real battle and shows you the level that you’re at; if I’m able to nullify him then I know that I’m doing really well. I felt that against Bohemians.
“I know that sometimes players could get the better of me because they’re good players, but ultimately it’s always that next opportunity that drives me.
"There are always mini challenges within games.
“The matches against senior teams can be very physical and direct; always looking for scraps and second balls. The first thought when they receive the ball is how they can hit it into the channels.
“Academy games are always very technical and tactical; finding the space and the areas to take players on one-on-one.
“There are a lot of challenges from various aspects which is very good for us; we need that at this age so we can go and challenge for first-team football.
“We need to be fully focussed every single moment when the ball goes out of play; they’ll take quick throw-ins and free-kicks.
“They may be slightly older than us, which means we’ll need to be even more switched on.
“We know that they’ll be up for it as teams always are against us, but we know we can take on anyone when we’re on it for 90 minutes.”
Gers B have been victorious against Burnley and Everton already this campaign, but they fell on the wrong side of the margins in matches against Manchester United and Manchester City.
Indeed, David McCallum’s side have relished the strength of the challenge that teams from England have posed this campaign, with Fraser insisting that the team are keen to turn positive performances into the right outcome.
He added: “We know that they could possibly be a bit older than us which will bring its own challenges, but we’re looking forward to that.
“The two games [against Huddersfield and Leeds] are perfect examples of playing really well, creating a lot of chances, but coming away empty handed.
“It was two great games for us and both were really high level matches. We done well within the games, but we came away disappointed.
“You work tirelessly for 90 minutes, everything seems to go right in terms of how the team does, but the opposition create a chance and win the game. It’s disappointing in that sense.
“You’re always judged on the next game and the next reaction, so it’s really important for us tomorrow to show a positive response.”
