Rangers made it successive three points to sign off for the international break as Tochi Chukwuani, Mikey Moore, Nico Raskin and a James Tavernier free-kick propelled the side to a well-earned home win.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, the Head Coach said: “It was a good game from our side. It was exactly what we wanted.
“We were dominant, aggressive against the ball, well-organised in possession with good structure and movements. We worked hard during the week and this was the result.
“It’s not just about the starting lineup, but especially from the whole squad. It’s the reason why we performed like this because they push each other. There is great competition at the moment.
“I’m happy and proud with the performance and result today, which is the key. We won the last two cup finals and there are now seven to go.
“We have a lot of quality, and if we’re in the right position then we can score different types of goals. It’s what we need to have a win with four goals.
“I like also the clean sheet, but it can happen in football. I’m proud at how well we played today, but we also need to improve. I hope they come back healthy [from the international fixtures] then we go again.”
There were several standout performers for the side this evening, with Tavernier’s stoppage time free-kick the pick of the bunch.
Mikey Moore also departed to another standing ovation from the Ibrox crowd after his goal just after the interval restored Rangers’ advantage, but Röhl was keen to stress the importance of his squad as a whole.
He added: “Mikey is a key player and one of the good players, but we have 24 good players available.
“I can pick a lot of players in the starting lineup and you can see a strong bench as well. If we played during the week 11v11 it wouldn’t be clear who’s a starter and who isn’t.
“If we train with this quality then we can increase our limits. Last week we had a clean sheet and a 1-0, and it was perhaps a little bit ugly, but today we performed really well and we deserved win.
“But in the end we get three points for both games and this is the key point.”
