Roofe, on his return from injury, broke out from the box, rode three challenges and then finished over the goalkeeper from inside his own half in injury-time to secure a fantastic 2-0 win over Standard Liege on matchday one of the Europa League.

"In the moment, you know what is going on but it is one of those you have to watch back to really understand what it is like.
Roofe was a late substitute for Alfredo Morelos on an incredibly heavy pitch following a massive thunderstorm in Liege – and he revealed what the manager said to him as he was coming on.
He said: "The message was to stretch the game a bit. It was difficult to run and to even pass the ball on this pitch, so the logical thing was to get the ball in the air over the back of the defence, run, and cause problems.

Roofe’s injury lay-off was an especially frustrating one for him as he was really getting into his stride as a Ranger, and he added: "It is one of the worst things in football getting injured as you feel frustrated and like you have let everyone down.
"You feel like you are never, ever going to get fit ever again, and play pain-free again.
"But, now I am back at it - I am feeling good and I am feeling strong. The medical team have worked really well with me and I am glad to be back."
For Gers, it’s a quick turnaround with Livingston the visitors to Ibrox on Sunday. Roofe expects a tough test and added: "We need to rest and recover well, and bring our best game onto Sunday as we know it is going to be a tough game.
"One of the most difficult things in football is to get a good result, and then back it up in the next game.
"But, if we want to win things that is what we need to do. We need to dust ourselves down, forget about this game and be ready for Sunday."
