The striker is set to face Livingston tomorrow night in the Viaplay Cup quarter-final at Ibrox with a spot at Hampden up for grabs.
Roofe has a Premiership and Scottish Cup winners’ medal and he would love to take a step towards adding to his collection against the Lions.
He said: “We want to win silverware again, at a club like this we have to do that. This game is really important.
“I need to win this trophy. It would hurt a lot if I didn’t win it. Everyone wants to win the cup.
“In the last three games we have three wins and three clean sheets. Sometimes it isn’t about how we win, it is about getting the result.
“It isn’t easy to play three games in eight days. We are at a big club and we have demands and pressure as well as high expectations.
“You can see it as a negative or a positive and we are looking at it positively and we want to keep getting results.
“We know we can improve and we have worked on it, so hopefully we can show a performance and get a result.
“I am a football fan and I want to be entertained but not every game will be like that, it is difficult to play three games in eight days.
“But we got the result and hopefully against Livingston we can please the crowd.”

Roofe has been an integral part of the squad in recent weeks after coming back from injury. He admits it’s been frustrating but he hopes his woes are behind him.
Speaking to the press, he added: “I’m enjoying this season as I am playing.
“It is all about playing and winning games and that’s what why I train so hard.
“Hopefully that is in the past now and it is onwards and upwards now. I haven’t played three games in a week for a long time so my body has to adapt to it.
“I have to be sensible, but hopefully after a while I will be ready to do that.
“To play in front of the fans and put this shirt on is massive, now I want to keep progressing.
“All the work I have put in, even when I was a kid, I believe in myself and every game I take seriously and want to win to help the team.”
