To commemorate the 80th anniversary of the match, RTV Studios presents A Duel with Dynamo, a special film capturing the occasion, controversy and political significance of the tussle at Ibrox.
“It was something completely new to us in terms of their personality and character,” Willie Waddell remarked of Moscow Dynamo when reflecting on the occasion in 1983.
“They were more systemised than we were. They had learned the game as if they had gone to school to learn the game, whereas we just grew up with it. They were marvellous players.”
