Rangers are one knockout tie away from reaching the league phase of Europe’s premier club competition, as they look to overcome the Belgian side in the play-off round with the first leg on home soil.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference ahead of a huge fixture ahead, he said: “What does the team need to do to get a result? Just to perform in a way that we really believe the players can.
“Similar to the Plzen game here with the same level of intensity, energy, courage with the ball.

“They have to really trust their work; they have to really trust each other.
“It should be an amazing atmosphere, the two European nights we have had already have been fantastic.
“We are excited about it all. We have been here just under two months, seven weeks or whatever it has been, and I am more excited than ever really. It hasn't diminished one bit.
“You have to roll the punches here for sure, and I think early on we understood that we were going to have a bit of pain to go through.
“We have to win while we are going through some pain, so we are in this round, a huge opportunity to qualify for one of the best competitions in world football.
“I really hope that we give the lads enough belief that we can do it, and I know that tomorrow night the supporters will definitely do their bit for the team, and it could be a really brilliant night.
“When you come to this club, you have a chance to experience moments you just don't get at any other football club, and tomorrow night can be another night like that.”
The Head Coach spoke about what it would mean for his players to reach the premier club competition in the continent, in which they would have had to overcome three ties to do so.
He continued: “The belief it would give the players, I think, would be massive. Financially, obviously, what it would do for the football club would be huge.
“If we are able to do it, which I really believe we are. If we can do it and qualify for it, it would be brilliant.
“Someone asked me, have we got the squad depth and all that to sustain it, I don't think we need to worry about it.
“I think let's try and get in there first, and then we are building a squad that has to compete in Europe, whether it is the Europa League or the Champions League.

“It would be incredibly exciting, it would help us a lot as a football club moving forward and not just financially and all that, but what it would do for the players and their belief, and to then put yourself against some of the best teams in the world would be brilliant.
“It would be a massive achievement for all of us, but it is not about me, it is not about any individual player, it is genuinely about what is best for the club and how exciting that would be for all of us.
“I was so pleased for us to get through the first tie against Panathinaikos after such a short amount of time and the difficulty of that tie, which they showed after they went and won their next one.
“Every competition we play in is an opportunity for us to show what we can be, and tomorrow is the same. It is not about how I would feel and all that stuff, it is about us as a group, and it could be a huge moment for us.”
Tomorrow will mark the start of a crucial run of games for the Gers heading into the first international break of the season, including the second leg and a first taste of the Old Firm in the dugout for Martin, and he encouraged his players to seize the opportunity in front of them.
He added: “I just think all the time we have to talk about opportunity and seizing it and the opportunities you have at this football club.
“I think when I talk about positivity and all that, I am not sitting and going, it is all great, I am not that false.

“We are realistic, we have to improve in so many areas, but let's look at the opportunities that are ahead of us and what we can go and achieve and what it could look like in a month or a week's time.
“Always looking forward, looking how we can do better, looking at tomorrow's game, what is going to be really important for us and have a thought of that all the time but being really consistent with our messages the opportunities that you have at this football club and how you should try and feel playing for this football club.
“Look at that, rather than maybe feeling the weight of it sometimes and all that staff. Look at what can happen to you if you do really well here and what you can achieve.
“I think there is so much to be excited about for this group of players and for this team and group of staff and this football club, and we have to make sure that we do our best to make sure that is the outcome.”
