A double from Megan Bell and a strike from Kirsten Reilly saw the new-look squad to victory.
Joint Head Coaches Gregory Vignal and Malky Thomson started with Jenna Fife in goal, a back four of Emma Brownlie, Demi Vance, Lisa Martinez and Daina Bourma. Midfield was made up of Kirsten Reilly, Clare Gemmell and Chelsea Cornet, with Bala Devi, Brogan Hay and Megan Bell providing the attack for the Gers.
The home side started bright as captain Clare Gemmell’s cross met Chelsea Cornet but her shot was blocked by Hearts.
Jenna Fife was called into action early on as Jenny Smith threatened for the visitors but her effort was held comfortably by the Light Blues number one.
Brogan Hay was next to come close for the Gers as Emma Brownlie’s shot fell to her on the edge of the box but her strike was over the bar.
The breakthrough did come for Rangers after just 12 minutes as Megan Bell picked up the ball on the left, before cutting inside and curling a right-footed shot beyond the keeper.
Hay and Demi Vance both saw shots just over the bar as the Gers pushed for a second in the game.
Parker-Smith made a good stop for the visitors with five minutes of the first-half remaining as she tipped behind a Demi Vance free-kick.
Hearts had a late chance in the half to get an equaliser but Aisha Maughan’s effort drifted just above the target.
Maughan again had a shot for the visitors early in the second-half as they were awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box, but it was curled just wide.
However, it was the Gers who got that all important second goal, and it was Bell again on target. A long ball forward picked out Bell on the right, and she took a touch before slotting a low effort in at the near post.
Reilly came close to a third as she found herself in space on the edge of the box but her shot was just over the Hearts goal.
The goal did come for Reilly on the 79th minute, as Megan Bell’s cross was pushed away by Parker-Smithl but fell for Reilly who drilled a powerful shot into the back of the net.
In the dying stages of the game, Rangers almost added a fourth as Chelsea Cornet went on a fantastic run before firing a cross into the box picking out Megan Bell, but somehow the forward managed to clip ball back away from goal before it was cleared by Hearts.
