DEADLINE DAY arrival Ryan Naderi can’t wait to get going after sealing a switch to Rangers.
The 22-year-old became Danny Röhl’s fourth signing of the January transfer window, after making the move from Hansa Rostock late last night.
Speaking to RangersTV in his first exclusive interview with the club, the striker revealed his joy, he said: “It is for me hard to describe. I am really proud to wear this jersey.
“I am really excited to meet all of the players and the staff and I can't wait to stand on the pitch.
“When did I hear about the move being possible? I think a few days and weeks ago already. I definitely knew that I wanted to make this move, it was clear from the first second I was really excited.
“I talked to my parents and my whole family. They are all excited and I am just happy to be here.
“It is an unbelievable honour to be in the situation; I am just really excited to be here. I am really hungry; I can't to stand on the pitch and I want to get started.
The German spoke of the influence his new Head Coach had on the move, with his eagerness to develop and grow under his guidance.
He continued: “He is a super nice person first of all. I really enjoyed the communication, it is a big thing for to come here and I have someone I can speak in German to.
“Who will help me, who can communicate easily with me, I am just happy that it has worked out.
“I had some impressions already of how he thinks to play, how I suit in the system.
“I think it is a really good match up. I am ready to grow here and make the next step and get some silverware.
“I just can't wait to stand on the pitch, fight for every ball and to give all my best on the pitch and win games.
“I want to adapt quickly and move forward with the team. I just want to play good games and at the end of course I want to stand on the top.”
Naderi gave an insight in the steps in the game he has taken so far to get to this stage and gave fans a taster of what they can expect to see when he pulls on the club’s colours.
He added: “I have had some up and downs in my career. My way wasn't always straight; I also had some times when I didn't start and you have to be strong mentally.
“I always had an injury that let me grow. I have developed very well and I am just ready to make the next step and I'm hungry and want to achieve things.
“Hansa? It was a big club in Germany, even though we played in third division.
“I really appreciated it; I appreciated the fans as well. Of course it is a big step here because the fans I can't imagine more.
“I love to play in front of fans, I enjoyed it there and the support is one of the biggest things for a footballer because in the end it is why you play football.
“I am a physical striker, I am able to keep the ball and I have good movement without it.
“I have good technique and of course I am here to score goals, that is the main thing.
“Potential debut? Honestly I can't imagine it until now, I will probably give you some more information when it is done but at the moment I am just excited to wear this jersey and I can't wait for it.”
