SAM LAMMERS believes the demands at Rangers can only be good for him as he looks to push himself under manager Michael Beale.
The attacker, who signed earlier today from Serie A side Atalanta, says he knows the bar is high but is excited by the challenge ahead in Scotland.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV, he said: “At every club you want to win as many games as possible and it is all about winning in this sport, but I miss the feeling of having to win every game.Rangers have to win every week and the bar is really high, but this is only a positive thing, and it is good for me as a player.
“I needed a new home, the last few years I have been on loan a couple of times so it is good that I can sign for Rangers and have a new home and a place to feel good again.”
With experience in some of the top leagues in Europe, Lammers has had spells in his homeland, Holland, as well as Germany and Italy. He says he is ready to show what he has learned from those experiences as he takes to Scottish football.

He continued: “I gained a lot of experience, I have been in a lot of different clubs, a lot of different situations. They have not all been the best experiences, but I think from every experience I became stronger, I got better and now I am ready to show it here.
“I have seen other Dutch players who have played here so I am excited to step into their footsteps and hopefully I can create a lot of good memories here and do really well.”
The 26-year-old is already looking forward to getting on the pitch with his teammates ahead of a big 2023/24 season.
He continued: “The last few years I have been on loan, and it is always last-minute deals and I joined when the season had started or in the last week. Now I am getting the chance to get to know the guys, get to know the people in the club and do my pre-season here so I think this is a big plus, also because early in the season we have important games, so we must be ready.
“I will enjoy my time back in Holland for the next two weeks but now that I have had a walk around here, I am even more excited to start.”
