Scotland Call-Up For Seven Rangers Players

SEVEN Rangers players have been called-up to the Scotland squad for upcoming UEFA Euro 2022 qualifying matches against Cyprus and Portugal.

Jenna Fife, Megan Cunningham, Rachel McLauchlan, Nicola Docherty, Sam Kerr, Lizzie Arnot and Zoe Ness have all been named in Stuart McLaren’s squad.

It is the highest number of Rangers players ever to be called-up to the National team at one time - with Gers the most represented club in the 23-player squad.

Goalkeeper Megan Cunningham makes a return to the national set-up having last played for her country in March 2015 with Rachel McLauchlan also receiving her first call-up in three years.

Women’s and Girls’ Football Manager Amy McDonald said: “Congratulations to all of our players who have been selected for the Scotland squad.

“To have seven players called-up for the National team is fantastic for the club. It shows the hard work which has been put in on and off the pitch in the last 18-months as we continue to create the best environment possible for our players and staff.

“I would like to wish the Scotland squad the best of luck for the upcoming matches.”

Scotland will play Cyprus on Friday, February 19 and Portugal on Tuesday, February 23.
