Seven Join Full-Time Programme

RANGERS can today announce that seven Academy players have joined our full-time programme with the under-18’s squad, having previously been in the Academy as schoolboys.

Jay Hogarth, Adam Devine, Matthew Henderson, Arron Lyall, Alex Lowry, Robbie Fraser and Leon King have all commenced their education in the full-time programme after progressing through the Rangers Academy from a young age.

All of the youngsters have been involved at national team level with Scotland for their age group, with a number of them playing part in last season’s Alkass International Cup victory.

Head of Academy Craig Mulholland said: “We are delighted to have these seven players join our full-time cohort working with David McCallum and Kevin Thomson on a daily basis with our under-18’s.

“The majority of the lads have been involved in our elite school programme at Boclair Academy where young Rangers players are now achieving almost 18 hours of football contact time per week.

“These lads recognise the opportunity they have as there has never been a more exciting time to be at the club as a young player given the quality of the environment and staff for them to learn from, I’m sure these guys will grab this opportunity.

“We wish them the best of luck as they strive to achieve their goals here at Rangers.”
