The on-loan Wolves striker feels the camp has been important for him to learn the dynamics of the team and what manager Philippe Clement wants from him moving forward.
Coming on for his debut in the Scottish Premiership victory over Kilmarnock at the start of the year, Silva says he enjoyed his first Ibrox experience and the warm reception he received from the supporters.
Sitting down for an interview with RangersTV this week, he said: “When I played at Ibrox for the first time it was nice to feel the emotion and the warm welcome from the fans, now I have this week in Spain to see the dynamics in the team, what the coach wants from me, and to build a relationship with the players.
“We can train, we can enjoy the weather and when we come back we have everything together to go and achieve our goals.
“I want the games to start, I like the competition, I like the games, but this week is really important for us to build something different. The coach hasn’t been here a long time either so sometimes we have a lot of games in the week and don’t have time to put ideas on the team, so this week is nice.
“We can learn more, and we can build a connection together as players because it is important. After this, things come naturally, and people will see it in the games and hopefully they are going to enjoy our football.”
Silva said he didn’t have to think twice about the opportunity to move north of the border as he looks ahead to the remainder of the season.
He continued: “When I go on loan and take my decisions it is because I feel something. I had other options, the coach already said some countries may be better for me with the weather and the culture but I am a resilient player.
“I like to fight for titles, play in Europe and on the big stage so when my agent spoke about Rangers, I felt something different. Straight away I wanted to come here and be a part of this amazing club, part of this team and we can do good things in the final part of the season so for me when I had this opportunity I didn’t have to think twice.
“I have to keep working, I have a team around me, my physio, my personal trainer, my nutritionist, so I always try to be better than yesterday when focusing on myself.”
