Soccer Academy Deliver New Partnership with Parkhall Integrated College In Northern Ireland

RANGERS Football Club are delighted to announce a new and innovative educational partnership with Parkhall Integrated College in Northern Ireland, which will be delivered by Rangers Soccer Academy.

With the support of Rangers Soccer Academy staff and coaches the programme will allow 16-19 year-old students to achieve a BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sport over a two-year term.

The students will receive access to first-class coaching as players, focusing on technical and tactical development as well as strength and conditioning. The programme will also offer students coach education and support to become coaches with guidance in key areas such as performance analysis and the wider business aspects of sports.

The exciting partnership will draw on the vast experience and expertise at Rangers and utilise Rangers Soccer Academy’s online coaching platform to deliver key lessons through individuals at the club.

Phil Cowen, Senior Soccer Academies Executive and Scout said: “Rangers Football Club, through Rangers Soccer Academy, are delighted to be part of this innovative and exciting partnership.

“We plan to offer academy curriculum coaching to all players and are fully-committed to delivering a programme for students which is second-to-none.”

The new course will open up a number of pathways for the students with the opportunity to go on to degree level study at higher education, direct entry into employment or to pursue scholarship opportunities.

Miss Huey, Head of Physical Education at Parkhall, said: “The PE Staff here in Parkhall are very excited about the programme being launched today.

“It allows for both our boys and girls to extend their knowledge and skills in a range of areas and gives them the chance to tap into the experience of many sports coaches.

“We are honoured to be a part of this initiative and look forward to seeing how they develop over the coming years.”
