27-year-old Goldson has been an impressive performer in all of the Light Blues' Premiership fixtures this season - against Aberdeen, St Mirren, St Johnstone and Livingston - and speaking at this morning's Zoom press conference at the club's training centre, he gave his thoughts on why the team has not been conceding goals.
He said: "Hard work over pre-season. Obviously, we kept quite a lot for clean sheets last year and we've started the season well defensively.
"How long can we keep it going? I don't know, but we'll try to do our best to keep another one on Saturday. But you never know - goals can be scored at any moment in a game but as long as we concentrate and try to limit the opposition's chances then we've got a good chance.
"Obviously we know that if you keep a clean sheet you only need one goal to win a game of football.
"It's good to be keeping them and we're all happy with how it's going, but we know it is very early in the season and there are a lot more games to come."
Goldson has enjoyed playing alongside Leon Balogun and Flip Helander in Rangers' league games so far this term, having also partnered George Edmundson in the centre of defence in pre-season matches.
He explained: "I feel like now at the club we have five really good centre-halves. Niko is unfortunately injured but I think you can see the quality and no matter who plays it's a position that we've got a lot of depth in.
"In the last few games I've been playing with Fil and we all know what Fil is - he is a great defender. He is experienced and calm, and he's not someone I need to worry about being next to. I can just let him play his own game and know that he will be the steady Eddie next to me.
"I think you saw against Bayer Leverkusen he hadn't played a full 90 minutes in six or nine months and he looked like he had been playing week in week out. So I'm happy with whoever I play next to and I'm just lucky that at the moment I have got a shirt myself."
Having enjoyed a positive start to the season personally, Connor is looking forward to this weekend's big game against Kilmarnock.
He added: "We've had a good week of training. It's been good and the boys have worked hard. There has been real quality in the sessions and it's given the new boys a chance to train with the whole team. Before that I don't even think they had a real training session with the boys that were playing, so it's let us understand them and them understand us more.
"I feel if we can get a win tomorrow and next week against Hamilton then it's been a good start to the season."
