Steven Gerrard Names Team To Face Lech Poznan

STEVEN GERRARD has named seven changes to his side for this evening’s final UEFA Europa League group stage match with Lech Poznan.

From the side which defeated Ross County 4-0 in the Highlands on Sunday, Connor Goldson, Leon Balogun, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo are the only four to retain their starting places.

That said, its still another strong Rangers XI which will take to the field on a freezing cold evening in western Poland.

Jon McLaughlin comes in for his first European appearance in goal for Gers tonight, with 19 year-old Nathan Patterson making his first start for the club at right-back.

Goldson and Balogun are the two centre-halves, with Borna Barisic back in at right-back. Bongani Zungu is in midfield next to Kamara and Scott Arfield, while Aribo and Ianis Hagi will support Cedric Itten.

Those changes mean Gerrard has a very talented pool at his disposal on the bench for Gers tonight – sat there are Allan McGregor, James Tavernier, Calvin Bassey, Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Brandon Barker, Greg Stewart, Jamie Barjonas, Brian Kinnear and Ciaran Dickson.
