It was the first of three group games for the young Gers in the junior section of the international youth competition.
Goals from Conor Allan, Leyton Dunlop and Robbie Ure gave Rangers a 3-0 lead at half-time before a second half double from Dire Mebude and a strike from Thomas Lonergan rounded off the scoring .
Academy coach Brian Gilmour said: “It was great to get off to a good start. For the boys it is about the challenge and hopefully the first of five games in five days.
Next up for the side is Bracknell Town at the Showgrounds in Coleraine tonight before a final group game against Global Premier Soccer at Scroggy Road, Limavady on Wednesday.
Gilmour added: “We watched Bracknell Town yesterday, they are newcomers to the competition so it is a different type of challenge but we are looking forward to it.
