Supporter Information: Panathinaikos Away

SUPPORTERS travelling for Wednesday's match against Panathinaikos should be aware of the following information.

  • Ticketing - All supporters who have purchased a ticket and submitted their passport details, have received an e-ticket for this fixture, with the exception of those selected for the partial collection. Supporters collecting their ticket at the mandatory meeting point have been contacted with further details – photographic ID is required for collection. Your e-ticket will be used for admission on to the mandatory coaches, as well as entry to the stadium. Tickets can be printed at home or scanned electronically on a mobile device. Please download your ticket in advance if you plan to scan it on your mobile.

  • Supporter Gathering Area - Supporters are recommended to gather in Athens City Centre which boasts plenty of bars, restaurants, and cultural attractions, and provides convenient access to the meeting point for the mandatory coaches at the Panathenaic Stadium.

  • How To Get To The Stadium - All fans must use the mandatory coaches arranged for travel to and from the stadium. Fans should meet at the Panathenaic Stadium (Old Olympic Stadium), where match tickets will be checked, and police will guide fans onto the coaches. Supporters should arrive at the Panathenaic Stadium for 17:30 local time, with boarding starting at 17:45 and coaches departing at 18:15. There are no toilet facilities on the coaches, and no alcohol is permitted.

  • Stadium Entry - The stadium will open 3 hours prior to kick-off. Our supporters will be positioned in section 20. If you have any accessibility requirements, please email [email protected] as soon as possible.

  • Flags and Banners - Flags must be submitted for approval in advance of the security meeting on Tuesday 29 July, please email your request, including a photo and dimensions, to [email protected]. If you previously submitted your flag ahead of our trip to Bilbao, you are not required to re-submit it. Flags or banners that exceed 1.5m x 1.5m may not be permitted entry without prior approval.

  • Permitted Items On Stadium Entry - We have been advised that battery packs will be permitted. Large bags, backpacks, and any items exceeding A5 size will not be permitted for entry. There are no storage facilities available at the venue, so supporters are encouraged to bring only essential items in small bags or avoid bags altogether to avoid delays at entry.

  • Refreshments and Stadium Kiosks - Refreshment kiosks and toilets are located after the initial ticket check, but before the turnstiles, which lead to the seating area. If you wish to access these facilities during the game, you will need to exit the seating area and pass back through the turnstiles. A gate will be staffed to allow managed access to and from these facilities – please note, this may be challenging during the entry phase. Both cash and card payments are accepted within the stadium. Alcohol will not be served inside the stadium.

EVERYONE ANYONE

Across the continent, the Rangers support are renowned for their incredible backing both in noise and in colour, and that backing can again make all the difference against Panathinaikos and beyond.

Supporters are, however, reminded the club remains under a suspended stand closure sanction. That means should there be any repeat of what UEFA deems as ‘racist and/or discriminatory behaviour’, it could lead to further sanctions and a full stand closure.

That will mean thousands of fellow Rangers supporters will be deprived of the opportunity to attend a potentially key game, while the players on the pitch will lose a significant proportion of that amazing support you provide.

Discriminatory behaviour includes (but is not limited to) illicit singing, chanting or the displaying of banners.

Ahead of this match, and indeed the season, the club also reminds supporters the throwing of objects onto the pitch is unacceptable, illegal, and will lead to serious consequences for the club and the potential arrest of the individuals responsible.

We are at the beginning of a new era for our great club, and we must take every opportunity to show the very best of it to the watching world.
