Tavernier, who signed for Gers as a 23 year-old back in 2015 when the club were in the Championship, will be the man to lift title number 55 come mid-May when the trophy is presented to him at Ibrox.
That success has been the target throughout his spell at the club – but he outlined just how hungry he is for more silverware in the coming years here at Rangers.
“I started this journey nearly six years ago and it has been a journey that has had its ups and downs and we have finally come to that 55th title,” he said, speaking exclusively to RangersTV.
"I believe that is just the start of it and I want to push on and win more trophies for this club. "This is the start of what is to come - this club has come through so much with the changes behind the scenes. But we have the full backing of the board and the supporters and it just feels like this is the start of something special for the club.
"It will be a surreal moment when it comes to May 15. But, it has been some journey to come through the years and the struggles that we have had, we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
"We are in a great place and we have another cup to go for before the end of the season."
That desire to add even more silverware and success before the end of this campaign is clear from Tavernier, and he is working hard to be back available for selection to be a part of the chase for glory.
He explained: "I can't wait to get back fit - I'm not too far away. The boys have a tough game this weekend against Hibs and then we will have a strong opposition against Celtic when we meet them in the cup.
"So we are looking to finish off the season like we started - really strongly, and hopefully we can add more silverware and that is our aim."
And beyond the end of this campaign, the potential to play Champions League football next season for the first time in his career is a massively exciting one for Tavernier.
"This is the best team that I have played with,” he added. “I am sure the board and the gaffer will be looking to improve the team in the areas that we need to.
"So I am really excited and I know all of the boys are really excited to push on with Champions League qualifiers next season.
"It is always something you dream of walking out to that music and I can't wait to lead the boys out doing that."
