From Tuesday’s game in Malmo, Jon McLaughlin, Glen Kamara, Joe Aribo and Alfredo Morelos come into the starting XI with Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Scott Wright and Cedric Itten all on the bench.
That means Rangers line-up with Jon McLaughlin in goal and a back four of James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic. Glen Kamara returns to the midfield three alongside Steven Davis and John Lundstram.
There’s a welcome return to the squad for Alfredo Morelos as he makes his first appearance of the new season after returning from international duty over the summer break. He is supported up front by Joe Aribo and Ryan Kent.
There’s a strong bench available to Steven Gerrard this afternoon with Allan McGregor, Nathan Patterson, Jack Simpson, Scott Arfield, Scott Wright, Cedric Itten and Jermain Defoe all available.
