After Thursday’s Europa League play-off second leg against Alashkert, the manager has included Leon Balogun, Kemar Roofe and Ryan Kent in his team for the first Glasgow derby of the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership season with Scott Arfield and Ianis Hagi named on the bench and Nathan Patterson not in the squad as he is in self isolation as a result of a close contact.
After making his competitive Gers debut in midweek in Armenia, Robby McCrorie is back between the posts this afternoon and in front of the 23-year-old is a backline consisting of Balogun, Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Borna Barisic.
In the engine room, the midfield three consists of Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo, with both Roofe and Kent providing support to Gers’ Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos.
Joining Arfield and Hagi on the bench today are goalkeeper Kieran Wright, John Lundstram, Cedric Itten, Fashion Sakala and recent signing Juninho Bacuna.
