Team News: Gerrard Names Two Changes To Face Celtic

STEVEN GERRARD has named two changes to his side for this afternoon’s Scottish Premiership match with Celtic.

Of course, before today’s game gets underway, Rangers Football Club will pay tribute to those lost in the Ibrox Disaster 50 years ago today. They will be Always Remembered.

Turning attention to the football, and Leon Balogun and Ryan Kent come into the side in place of Fil Helander and Ianis Hagi.

That means it’s a back five of Allan McGregor in goal with James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Balogun and Borna Barisic in front of him.

Steven Davis, Glen Kamara and Joe Aribo are in midfield, while up front, Kent and Kemar Roofe will play in support of Alfredo Morelos.

There is an array of options open to boss Gerrard on the bench today – there for him are Jon McLaughlin, Calvin Bassey, Hagi, Jermain Defoe, Cedric Itten, Bongani Zungu, Brandon Barker, Helander and Nathan Patterson.

It’s a 12:30pm kick-off here at Ibrox, with season ticket holders able to watch the match on RangersTV.

From 11:50am, join Emma Dodds who has Walter Smith and Neil McCann alongside her.

RANGERS: McGregor, Tavernier, Goldson, Balogun, Barisic, Davis, Kamara, Aribo, Kent, Roofe, Morelos.

SUBS: McLaughlin, Bassey, Hagi, Defoe, Itten, Zungu, Barker, Helander, Patterson.
