JO POTTER has named her Rangers side for this afternoon’s Sky Sports Cup match against Dundee United at Foundation Park.
It’s the beginning of the competition for the Light Blues where they will enter at the second round stage, as they look to successfully defend the trophy they won last season in what was their manager’s first piece of silverware in charge of the club.
Today marks the start of a big seven days for the Gers, as they turn their attention to cup action before hosting their Glasgow rivals on Thursday evening and rounding off the week with a home league fixture.
The former Lioness has named a mixture of youth and experience in the lineup for today’s match against the fellow SWPL side, which includes a competitive debut for 2009 born and 15-year-old May Cruft, as well as first starts of the campaign for both Charlie Devlin and Jane Ross.
The lineup in full sees Jenna Fife start in goal, with captain Nicola Docherty, Kathy Hill and Laura Rafferty also in from the off.
Tessel Middag is named in the team, where she is joined by Eilidh Austin, youngster Cruft and Devlin.
Jodi McLeary and Camille Lafaix are also in the side, with Ross making her first start this season having made her return from injury in the league win over Hearts last weekend.
On the substitutes bench for Rangers this afternoon is Victoria Esson, Brogan Hay, Kirsty Howat, Megan Bell, who also makes her return from injury and is in a matchday squad for the first time in 2024/25, Mia McAulay, Lizzie Arnot and Katie Wilkinson.
