The young Gers are bidding to get their hands on the trophy for the 15th time in the Academy’s history and they will square off against a Spiders side whom they dispatched 4-0 in the group stages earlier this season.
It means Mason Munn lines up between the posts after lifting the Scottish Youth Cup eight days ago, behind a backline of Connor Allan, Greig Allen, captain Kristian Webster and Zander Hutton.
In midfield, both Ryan Jack and Alex Lowry are given the nod as they kickstart their respective returns from injury, where they are joined by 20-year-old Mackenzie Strachan.
Thompson Ishaka leads the line in attack, with the teenager flanked by Paul Nsio and Archie Stevens on the wings.
Among the substitutes for the Light Blues this afternoon are Jacob Pazikas, Lyle Wark, Kerr Robertson, Calum Adamson, Findlay Curtis, Chris Eadie and Josh Gentles.
