It’s a big night for the young Gers, as they look to overcome their rivals once again to retain the famous old trophy they won in last season’s edition of the competition back in December with a dramatic 3-2 victory.
The former Light Blues player will be able to call upon the services of the likes of Findlay Curtis, Paul Nsio and Zander Hutton as the relative elder statesmen in the young team, whilst there is a boost for the club with defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo being named in a Rangers side for the first time since November last year following a serious knee injury.
Rydnn McGuire will start in goal for this one, behind a back four of Hutton, Kasanwirjo, Connor Campbell and Cameron Scott.
Aiden McCallion, who has featured in first-team squads recently, starts in midfield alongside Calum Adamson.
Curtis will start on the right-hand side of the midfield and captain the side with Callum Burnside starting on the opposite flank, whilst Nsio will provide support to lone striker Chris Eadie from the number 10 role.
On the substitutes bench for Rangers this evening is Alfie Halliwell, Jack Wyllie, Arran Kerr, Lyle Wark, Oliver Goodbrand, Cameron Fernie, Alex Smith, Lewis Stewart and Cormac Christie.
Kick off at the home of Partick Thistle is at 7pm and please note there are no public ticket sales available for the match, but it will be broadcast both live on RangersTV and Premier Sports.
