It means Jenna Fife retains her place between the posts, supplementing a backline of Rachel McLauchlan, captain Kathryn Hill, Hannah Davison and Nicola Docherty.
Tessel Middag will be tasked with protecting the defence, bolstering a midfield that also includes Bell and Cornet.
In attack, Howat is given the nod to lead the line where she is flanked by two teenagers in McLeary and Watson.
Among the substitutes for the Light Blues this evening are Victoria Esson, Eilidh Austin, Jenna Ferguson, Kirsty Maclean, Sam Kerr, Brogan Hay, Lizzie Arnot and Kayla McCoy.
