Rangers make the short trip across the city to take on Partick Thistle tomorrow afternoon as they look to bounce back in the final instalment of their three-game week.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the SWPL contest at Petershill, the versatile defender feels it is beneficial for the Gers to have a fixture so soon as they look to put another run together in what remains of the campaign.
She said: “Is it a positive to have a game so soon and to try bounce back as quickly as possible? I think it is a positive indeed.
“We will be even more motivated and hungry to try and get a better result on Sunday.
“It definitely helps and the best way to get over a loss is by having another game and another chance to get it right.
“As much as we are very disappointed that we gave our number one spot away, it is not over yet.
“I think that is the feeling that we very strongly feel within our squad.
“There is all to play for, we don't think this title race is over, we are going to give it our all.
“We just have to get a better result on Sunday and take it from there.
“It is about parking the result but also trying to learn from the things we haven't done well so hopefully we can take some lessons with us into the next game and games.”
The 31-year-old has highlighted the importance of taking the chances when they arrive in the fixture with the taking of opportunities proving to be vital in the title race.
She continued: “How important is it to be clinical in every fixture? Absolutely, even previously in the season sometimes it only took one goal for us to win a match or a 2-1 result.
“We know how important it is throughout the season to try and score the chances that we get and not concede in our box as well.
“It is always important to be clinical, especially in this phase of the season but the margins are getting smaller in women's football at the top.
“It is about taking your chances and trying not to concede on our own side.
Middag has reflected on the last two outings against their Sunday opponents and wants the Gers to take the good parts from their cup final success last month to get over the line once again.
She added: “We know how difficult a game that was for us [0-0 draw]. Obviously we played Partick Thistle afterwards in the cup final which was a better result for us.
“Hopefully we can take that going into Sunday's game. We do know that it's a tough place to play at Petershill because it is so small, which disallows our spaces a bit.
“It is about moving the ball fast, moving it side to side, trying to find those small gaps and pockets of space to play through.
“We know that they are very well organised especially defensively.
“It is going to take lots of quality from us, ball speed and at times a bit of individual brilliance to beat our opponent and get a good shot away, which we have shown over and over again this season.
“We absolutely have it in our locker and hopefully we can show that on Sunday.”
