RANGERS are delighted to announce the signing of Tessel Middag from Fiorentina.
The midfielder has vast experience domestically and internationally, having played for Manchester City, Ajax, West Ham and the Dutch National Team.
She has a number of honours under her belt including the FA WSL, FA WSL Cup, KNVB Women’s Cup and the Eredivisie.
Middag expressed her excitement to sign for the club as she sat down exclusively with RangersTV after completing the move to Glasgow.
She said: “It’s been great getting to know the players and the team. I’m happy to be here!
“I feel like this was the best opportunity to continue my professional career because of the project that Rangers have started with the women’s team going fully professional. I was impressed by the professionalism of all the facilities that the club has.
“I can’t wait to put on the shirt for the first time and represent this club.”
Women’s Head Coach, Malky Thomson, has expressed his excitement to welcome Middag ahead of the start of the competitive football season.
He said: “Tessel has massive experience down south and abroad. Bringing that different culture and diversity to Rangers and that ‘one club’ mentality is important for the girls’ and the club’s development: they’ll be adding value to our squad.”
