This Week's Gers Guide!

IN this week’s Gers Guide, the men’s first team continue their UEFA Europa League campaign before another Scottish Premiership outing. The women’s side ready themselves for a crucial SPWPL match away to Glasgow City, the Under-19’s are in Glasgow Cup action, while the Under-16’s compete in the Alkass International Cup.

Here’s a look at what’s to come:

MONDAY

  • Inside Ibrox – Annan Athletic

Rangers progressed to the fifth round of the Scottish Cup with a comfortable 5-0 win over Annan Athletic at Ibrox on Friday evening.

A Bojan Miovski hat-trick, supplemented by a Kieran Dowell header and a sumptuous Thelo Aasgaard free kick, saw the Light Blues book their place in the next round, and you can view all the behind-the-scenes footage from the clash with our latest installment of ‘Inside Ibrox’ later tonight.

  • RWFC Highlights

Leanne Crichton’s side marked their return to league action with a vital 2-1 win over Hibs at Broadwood Stadium yesterday.

First-half goals from Katie Wilkinson and 16-year-old May Cruft were enough to see off the capital club, and you can view all the highlights from the clash on our official YouTube channel now.

  • Alkass International Cup Coverage

A young Gers side will be over in the Middle East this week as they compete in the prestigious Alkass International Cup in Doha, Qatar.

This year, the young Gers will compete in Group A alongside Aspire Academy, Mohammed VI Football Academy and Étoile Sportive du Sahel of Tunisia, with the adjacent group made up of Barcelona, PSG, Kashiwa Reysol of Japan, and PVF Football Academy of Vietnam.

  • Rangers Under-19’s v Partick Thistle – Glasgow Cup – Rangers Training Centre – Kick-off 19:30

The club’s Under-19’s side will continue their Glasgow Cup campaign as they host Partick Thistle in Milngavie.

Having suffered defeat in their opening group fixture to Clyde last week, Liam Ross’ side will be hopeful of responding by picking up points later this evening.

Please note there are no public ticket sales for the match, but we will provide the lineup, as well as half-time and full-time updates, as well as post-match reaction on X @RFC_Youth. Highlights will also follow afterwards.

TUESDAY

  • Loan Review

Rangers have a number of players out on loan across the Men's, Women’s and Academy sides at present and here’s our review of how each of those in action fared over the weekend.

WEDNESDAY

  • Press Conference – Ludogorets

Danny Röhl and a player will speak to the media on Wednesday to preview the side’s penultimate Europa League league phase match against Ludogorets at Ibrox.

  • Training Ground

The head coach will also put his team through their paces as they prepare to host the Bulgarian side to Govan.

THURSDAY

  • Rangers v Ludogorets – UEFA Europa League league phase – Ibrox Stadium – Kick-off 20:00

Rangers are back in European action for the first time in the calendar year as they take on Ludogorets at Ibrox.

It’s the penultimate outing in this year’s league phase, as the hosts look to continue their positive domestic form of late when they take to the pitch on Thursday evening.

SUNDAY

  • Rangers v Dundee – Scottish Premiership – Ibrox Stadium – Kick-off 15:00

The Gers will then round off the week by hosting Dundee as they make a return to Scottish Premiership action.

Röhl’s men are in fine league form of late and will be looking to claim a sixth win on the bounce in the SPFL.

  • Glasgow City v Rangers – ScottishPower Women’s Premier League – Petershill Park – Kick-off 16:10

Rangers are back on the pitch this Sunday as they face a crucial clash at the top of the SPWPL table away to Glasgow City.

After an important victory on their return to league action, the Gers will have the chance to cut the gap to the leaders to four points with victory.
