Jodi McLeary, Zoe Ness, Lizzie Arnot and Jane Ross were all on the scoresheet at Rangers Training Centre.
Thomson was pleased with the way the Light Blues dictated play. Speaking to RangersTV at full-time he said: “We were always on the front foot and we were always dictating play which was pleasing.
“We had a previous game there during the week against a stiff, organised team which really put us on the back foot and we had to do a lot of defending so we have really changed it up in terms of our preparation for pre-season.
“Pre-season has been good considering we are still under to covid rules and regulations at the club so I am delighted with the players’ attitude and the way they go about it and the way the club go about organising everything, it has been smooth.”
With four Academy players in the starting line-up this evening, Thomson praised the way they have settled into pre-season.
He added: “We were really tapping into the youth and the hard work that the club is putting into the youth development and managing to get so many youth players playing in the game was great combined with the more experienced players.
“Right from day one of pre-season we have introduced the youth into the fold and the more experienced players have been great with them so it is a real professional environment here.”
