It has been 239 days since the sides last met in the opening match of the abandoned 2020 season.
With further additions to the squad over the break and a new assistant by his side, Gers boss Malky Thomson can’t wait to get back into competitive action.

Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the game, he said: “We have been training and training and training and as much as we had the friendly games I think the girls are desperate to have that edge.
“It’s that build up to training all week for the end product of playing a game and testing yourself in the league so it will be good.”

With competition for places across the squad, Malky and his assistant Kevin Murphy will have tough decisions to make when it comes to the starting 11.
However, the Rangers boss insists that will be a squad effort this season. He continued: “This will be the next step, obviously we will only be able to pick an 11, so there will be some disappointed players.
“Just like the badge says they need to be ready and they have got to be willing and able to stand up and produce when they are asked.
“I don't think it'll be easy. There are alot of good teams, coaches and players out there.

“It will be really competitive but it is something that the girls are up for.”
Malky praised the squad for their attitude during lockdown and since they have returned to training.
He continued: “That was definitely an advantage for us that they had the capacity to keep themselves in a good state and to come into pre-season.
“That definitely gave us a platform. I am really proud of them and the way they have conducted themselves.
“Probably like the rest of the teams we have not had the pre-season we would've liked to have had maybe getting the girls away together, but it has certainly not hampered us that's for sure.
“When you bring a group of people together you are not too sure how they are going to interact.

“Sure, you know individually that they are good players but it is when they come together how do the dynamics go with the group, how do they get on and how do they interact with each other.
“The environment is good for us at the training ground. It does help create the pathway for them to build relationships. The facilities are second to none and the people that are around.
