The Gers boss was delighted to see a variation in goal scorers last night and insisted that the confidence throughout the squad is key to reaching positive performances.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following their dominant win, he said: "I think it was great that we had six different goal scorers, I thought the intensity that they played at was good. The training all week has been bang on and that was one of the things that we spoke about prior to this game, the levels that they reached in training is what we had to see on the pitch – I thought they did that tonight.
"There’s a trust in them when they play, you can see the way and style that we play you’ll see players who are different positions and the minute that we regain the ball back we have confidence in those players to handle the ball. For me, there’s a confidence in the group, they’re not relying on a player having to carry anyone else, everybody in their 100% in and collectively, it comes good.
"It’s not confidence that we get in the game, when we get one or two goals up, we can see the relaxation in the group but it’s what happens during the week and the day-to-day preparation that really builds that confidence leading into the game."

Thomson reflected on the positivity to have a selection of players chosen for international duty in recent weeks but outlined that the concentration shown by the players at the Rangers Training Centre throughout that period was fundamental to create momentum heading back into league action.
He continued: "We’re really delighted that so many of them go and represent their countries, but I spoke to the team and the core group that is left to still train, the effort and application shown was second to none. It’s just a good group of players that came together.
"The momentum is what we do in our daily actions and how we go about things, it’s all down to the players. We train all week, we work hard, and we have a game plan, I think tonight was excellent, especially when we made the substitutions – every one of those players that came on added value to that performance tonight."
