The Gers boss is expecting another difficult test at Alliance Park, but feels his squad are in a good place as they aim for another important three points.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the match, he said: “I think it will be similar to the games we have played against Spartans and against Hearts. We don’t know 100 per cent how they are going to come.
“They might press us or they might sit off of us but it makes no difference because we plan and prepare for any eventuality so we will be ready come Sunday.
“It is always easier for any coach if you come on the back of a win going into preparations and this week in particular we had a fantastic recovery day where we had a bit of fun and enjoyment within the squad.
“However, very quickly the girls have switched back onto the hard work and we have had some really good sessions leading up to this game.”
Thomson feels the high standards in training help push the players to perform on the pitch on a Sunday.
He continued: “If you look at last Sunday's game I thought that it was one of the games where the patterns of play leading up to the goals were a bit special.
“We always know we will create chances, albeit in some of the games we have not been quite as clinical as we would've liked the girls to have been, however it is the driving force in every training session and every game that we play.
“There are standards and the standards are high, the girls are happy now to bore that responsibility upon themselves and really work at it during training in the hope that they can bring that to the matchday.”
Rangers face Motherwell on Sunday, April 3 with a 4pm kick-off at Alliance Park.
