The Light Blue expressed his emotions to lift the Glasgow Cup trophy in front of the travelling Rangers support in the second string’s final domestic game of the season.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after their cup final win, he said: “I feel great! Winning trophies at this club is always a massive high in your career so it’s good to get another one following from the U18s Scottish Youth Cup win.
“It was amazing, it was a great evening and experience overall – just a massive thank you to the fans for making that bit better.”
The young Ger reflected on the squad’s positive unbeaten cup campaign run this season but insisted that the main objective was to win the final match this evening.
He added: “The main thing is winning the game in the final, to do that unbeaten is just an extra and proves how solid we’ve been at the back and free flowing in attack as well.
“To come off the bench tonight and get what was the winner is obviously great. I’m glad I could have an impact, but ultimately, it’s about the team winning the trophy.”
