The 33-year-old has been called into the New Zealand squad and will compete in Group A alongside reigning champions Canada, Colombia and hosts France.
The Football Ferns arrive at the prestigious games having qualified in February through the OFC Olympic Qualifying Tournament, which was played in Samoa.
Her nation won all three group games in comfortable fashion before a semi-final win over Fiji and an emphatic 11-1 win over the Solomon Islands in the final, which the shot stopper started and saw them book their place at the games.
At club level the goalkeeper competed with Jenna Fife for the number one jersey between the posts for the Gers in the most recent campaign, starting 18 times overall as she helped the Light Blues to both Sky Sports and Scottish Cup successes as they claimed a cup double in Jo Potter’s first season in charge.
She put pen to paper on a one-year contract extension and joined up with her country at the end of the season, where they played out a recent friendly draw against Zambia in a warm-up match.
New Zealand also co-hosted last summer’s FIFA World Cup finals alongside Australia, where they were knocked out of the tournament at the group stages as they now head into the Olympics as underdogs as the lowest ranked side in the competition, they take on Canada in their opening game tomorrow before further group matches against Colombia and France to follow.
