The Gers boss was pleased with how his young side dealt with the game, especially in the second half, after going in 4-0 down at the break.
He said: “We lost of course but I am really really pleased with the girls because the second half I think we were really good.
“We conceded stupid goals, set pieces, and this is something we need to work on but in terms of the game model I think that now they are starting to try to understand what we want.
Vignal had players as young as 15-years-old in his starting line-up for the game, something which he feels will be a valuable experience.
He continued: “First I started the game with really young girls because they need experience under their belt and I said to them we conceded stupid goals and we have to learn from our mistakes but I am not worried because I know they are capable to do better and they showed me in the second half.
“We are positive, I am really pleased with the second half because of the way we played and we were brave on the ball and showed desire.
“That is why we played Liverpool and I am really happy to play this game today.”
Vignal handed debuts to new signings Lisa Martinez and Daina Bourma for the game.
He added: “I think they will improve the squad it takes time because they need to be fit. This is something we try to bring right now into the football club to show our project and hopefully it will work, we have got a big game next week against Aberdeen so we are looking forward to that.”
