The Light Blues scored seven times across the month, and the following strikes are up for nomination:
Tom Lawrence v Hibernian
The 30-year-old delivered the decisive blow for the Gers in a 1-0 victory over Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.
It was a goal worthy of winning any occasion, with the midfielder skipping inside and curling an unstoppable effort into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.
Tom Lawrence v Dundee United
Lawrence certainly had a penchant for the spectacular in September and, although this one was from closer range, it was still dripping with quality.
Collecting a swivel pass from Cyriel Dessers in midfield, the midfielder raced through on goal, dropping several Dundee United defenders in the process, before dinking a gorgeous finish over the onrushing goalkeeper.
Ross McCausland v Malmo
McCausland’s strike arrived at the perfect time in the second half for Philippe Clement’s side in Sweden, with its quality undoubted.
Just off the bench, the Northern Irish international spotted a loose ball on the edge of the penalty area after Malmo failed to clear James Tavernier’s forward pass, taking it in his stride before arrowing a sumptuous effort in off the post on his supposed weaker side.
Cyriel Dessers (second goal) v Dundee
Dessers’ second strike against Dundee was the pick of the bunch as the Gers marched into the last four of the Premier Sports Cup.
Nedim Bajrami was the architect, with the Albanian’s early delivery from the left finding Dessers in the middle who guided a half-volley beyond the Dundee goalkeeper with the inside of the foot.
