RANGERS Goal of the Month nominees for October, presented by EA Sports FC, have been announced and you can vote for your winner now!
The Light Blues netted ten goals across five games last month as Philippe Clement enjoyed an unbeaten start to life in Glasgow.
The following strikes are up for nomination:
James Tavernier vs. St. Mirren
The Gers captain rounded off the scoring in a 3-0 victory in Paisley with a terrific lasered strike from the edge of the penalty area.
Collecting a pass 30 yards from goal, the full-back advanced towards the St. Mirren penalty box and unleashed a strike that was blocked en route to goal. However, just as the visitors appeared to have negated the danger, Tavernier muscled his way in front of Alex Gogic and arrowed an unstoppable first-time strike into the top corner to leave the goalkeeper with no chance.
Cyriel Dessers vs. Hibernian
The Nigerian forward added the Light Blues’ fourth goal of the afternoon against the Edinburgh side when he combined neatly with Todd Cantwell following the midfielder’s introduction.
Receiving the ball in a dangerous area on the edge of the penalty area, the 25-year-old reversed a clever pass into Dessers who showed supreme composure to sit David Marshall down with his eyes and pass the ball into the opposite corner.
Danilo vs. Hearts
The Brazilian forward brought Ibrox to its feet in stoppage time against Hearts as his header completed a dramatic turnaround for the Light Blues.
The 24-year-old was introduced at half-time as Clement sought an avenue back in the game, and he was rewarded when Danilo showed intelligent movement to peel round the back of his marker in the penalty area and head James Tavernier’s unerring cross into the bottom corner.
Abdallah Sima vs. Hibernian
Sima was the two-goal hero as Clement made his Ibrox bow against Hibernian in October, with his opening goal giving Rangers lift-off in an eventual 4-0 triumph.
The Senegalese forward displayed tremendous pace to burst through a gap in the visitors’ backline, leaving Will Fish in his wake before smashing an unstoppable driven finish into the far corner.
