RANGERS Player of the Month nominees for September, presented by SEKO, have been announced and you can vote for your winner now!
The candidates for the voting for the winner are as follows:
Shin Ji Kim
Shin Ji has become a quick fans’ favourite at the club with a string of impressive displays in midfield following her season-long loan move from AS Roma in the summer.
Her impressive showings last month saw her help the side to an Old Firm victory at New Douglas Park, playing the crucial pass to Katie Wilkinson to tee up Mia McAulay for the opener in a 2-0 win in Hamilton.
She also got off the mark in a Rangers jersey in the victory over Partick Thistle, rounding off the scoring at Petershill before helping the team to victory over Aberdeen at Broadwood.
Kathy Hill
Kathy continued her strong start to the season in the Rangers backline having to made her return to full fitness following an injury during pre-season.
She contributed to a fantastic Old Firm away victory, helping Leanne Crichton’s side claim the city bragging rights with a clean sheet to go with it.
Two further victories were to follow in the month, with the Gers claiming successes over both Partick Thistle and Aberdeen.
Jess Pegram
The young centre-back settled into life at the Gers across September having made the season-long loan switch from Brighton & Hove Albion at the beginning of the month.
She was thrown straight into the derby at Hamilton, although her debut was cut short due to injury as she had to be replaced by Eilidh Austin in the win on the half-hour mark.
Pegram made her return quickly in the following weekend’s 4-1 win at Petershill, before helping the Gers to a clean sheet and 3-0 success over Aberdeen in Cumbernauld.
Jodi McLeary
August’s player of the month for the Gers continued her steady start to the season as she continued to perform for Leanne Crichton’s side across various roles on the pitch.
An ever present across September, McLeary helped the team to three wins out of four as they continued to adapt to life under their new Head Coach.
She was in the side for the derby victory before further appearances were to follow in the wins over both the Jags and Dons.
Katie Wilkinson
The club’s top goalscorer continued her fine form to begin 25/26 with further contributions for the Gers to help them to three wins out of four.
She assisted Mia McAulay’s crucial opener in the Old Firm win, laying the ball across the box for the youngster to smash home as the Light Blues went on to claim the points in the first meeting between the team’s this season.
Wilkinson got back to goalscoring form in the two matches that followed, getting the team on level terms in the comeback win over Thistle, before breaking the deadlock in the success over Aberdeen in North Lanarkshire.
