RANGERS player of the month nominees for January, presented by Utilita, have been announced and you can vote for your winner now!
The candidates for the voting for this month’s winner are as follows:
Tessel Middag – Tess enjoyed another consistent month in the backline as she started all four of the Light Blues outings across January. She has featured in the side heavily over the past months as she remains a steady performer at the heart of the defence, helping the side to two clean sheets in the process.
Rachel Rowe – The attacking midfielder started the new year in impressive fashion with four goals in the four January outings. She was on hand to find the target on two occasions as well as provide an assist in Rangers’ commanding win in the highlands. Starts in both the Old Firm and the Aberdeen league fixture were to follow with the Wales international the difference maker in the final game of the month with two goals at the Balmoral Stadium in a 2-1 win.
Kathryn Hill – The centre-back was also a mainstay throughout January having made her full return from injury at the start of the new year. Hill helped the side to two clean sheets as well as scoring the vital equaliser at Excelsior Stadium as the Light Blues booked their place in the Sky Sports Cup final.
Kirsty Maclean – The youngster continued her fine season form into the start of the second half of the campaign as she found the target three times across the month. She was on hand to find the back of the net in the Scottish Cup victory as well as firing in the crucial second in the Sky Sports Cup semi-final. She was also on target in the league victory over Dundee United and provided the assist for both strikes in the win over Aberdeen.
Nicola Docherty – The captain was an ever present starting all four matches on the left side of defence in January. Helping the squad to four wins across three separate competitions as the team continues to target silverware across all fronts. She was part of the defence that kept two clean sheets and she also provided an assist in the convincing win over Dundee United in the SWPL.
