The midfielder struck two first-half goals from outside the box in a record win for the Gers against Ross County – Alfredo Morelos also bagged two in the 4-0 win in Dingwall.
Jack already has one for the campaign, during Europa League qualifying, and admits Steven Gerrard and his staff have been encouraging the Gers midfield to become big hitters.
Speaking to RangersTV he said: “I am delighted with the goals; I think over the season if we are going to be successful then everyone is going to have to contribute.
“I wouldn’t say I work on shooting every day but we definitely get encouraged by the manager and his staff to shoot when we do get to the edge of the box. Thankfully for me tonight it came off twice.”
The result in the Highlands came after a classy display from Gerrard’s men and kept them second in the Premiership, by just goal difference.
It was a return to the relentless nature of Rangers play this season, that perhaps had been missing after slow starts against Hearts and Motherwell.
Jack said: “We are very pleased, coming here tonight the main thing we had spoken about and worked on was off the ball.
“We need to be more effective in our game off the ball because we know we are a good side when we have it. I thought we did that brilliantly tonight and that is what got us the three points.
“We have a strong squad and we work on that every day in training; keeping the ball in tight areas and playing our way out of tight areas.
Jack made way for Jamie Murphy in the 63rd minute and after three weeks out before facing Porto last week he believes the manager may have had one eye on Sunday’s Betfred Cup semi-final.
He continued: “I think maybe it was because the game was done, the manager just said to me we’ll give you a bit of a rest.
“We have a couple of big weeks coming up. The manager makes decisions and I am more than happy with that.
“Sunday is no different, it will be another tough test, a different test but we are lookig forward to it and we want to get the club to a cup final.”
