The 23-year-old striker admitted she was never sure she would get another chance at international level after her horror knee injury.
Now in Edinburgh with Shelley Kerr’s squad, Ness says she is enjoying every moment as they prepare for Euro 2021 qualifiers against Albania and Finland.
Speaking to RangersTV she said: “After the game on Sunday I got back to the flat and had just been speaking to my grandparents and my mum and dad and then Shelley called to say I was getting called into the camp.
“It has been a little bit of a crazy 24 hours but I am over the moon to be back among the girls and really excited for this week for the qualification games coming up.
“We'll see what comes of this week but I am enjoying every moment again.
“I was always working towards getting back to the level that I was playing at so I think that I have got my reward.

“All the hard work that I have put in in lockdown by myself training has really paid off so I am over the moon just to get this year over and done with and start a fresh and really kick on from here.
“I feel like football is definitely full of highs and lows. I think at the minute I am really enjoying the highs.”
With nine caps for the Scotland National Team, Zoe was disappointed as injury ruled her out of the World Cup, but that didn’t stop her going out to support her teammates.
She continued: “I think a few things have challenged me over the last 18 months and I think that can only set me in good stead going forward.
“Obviously I was really disappointed to miss out on the World Cup so I still wanted to go out and support the team so I went over for the two games I could get to.
“Hopefully moving forward I don't have to deal with such lows as what they were but I am really excited to see what comes.
Scotland will take on Albania at Tynecastle on Friday night before travelling to Helsinki to face Finland on Tuesday as they resume their Euro qualifying campaign.
Zoe continued: “They are definitely very important games for us. I know the team have not been together for a long time obviously with everything that has gone on so there is a lot of importance on the two games coming.

“Collectively as a team there's a lot of experience, you see now the amount of talent and the amount of competition there is.
“The amount of players playing full time only adds to the strength and depth of the squad so we know they are two big important games.
“They will probably be two quite different games, but definitely ones that we know we need to go and utilise and hopefully come away with the results that we deserve with the performances I know we will put in as a team.”
